At Fuel Cycle I manage enterprise accounts for an AI-powered market research platform. I spend most of my day translating between clients and the people who built the product. I also build internal tools and workflows for my own team, which is where most of my AI work started.
I've been freelancing since 2016 and never stopped: websites, events, video editing, podcast production, graphic design, and pretty much any digital work that's helpful. Nearly all of it referred, and much of it for nonprofits and small teams working past their capacity.
I also support web events for the Foundation for Inner Peace, the publisher of A Course in Miracles.
What I care about most
New digital tools, especially AI tools, keep getting easier to pick up. I fully expect that to continue exponentially. But what hasn't gotten easier is everything after that: knowing what to ask for, where it fits in the work you already do, and when to trust what comes back.
Most people I work with are stuck a step before all of that, and from down there, it can look like an impassable mountain.
Most of my work is being the person on the mountain slope with a hand down, showing you where to put your foot as you climb. I'm proficient with the technical things, but I'm not in a rush and don't need you to already understand anything.
Ideally, you should leave our work together more capable than when you started, and perhaps eventually, you won't need me anymore.
A bit more about me
I am a Master Certified Life Coach, trained under the ICF coaching model, make music as Jackintheway, create videos on YouTube, and speak at events.
None of that is a hobby I keep separate from my work. In fact, the reason I can explain technical things to the non-technical person is that I've spent most of my life doing non-technical communication, where the work is about meeting someone exactly where they are.
