The Wasp

Feivel Speaks ยท Written 2024

I came out of my mom with a blanket of anxious damaged thoughts Framed each situation I fought as a chance I'd separate and be lost Misplaced everything that I love behind a curtain made of new lies With more stipulations and conversations I learned to turn on the siren

I just gotta be silent Freezing, closing my eyelids Panic acts like a virus Spreads to my whole environment I don't wanna be childish Fear will make us all crazy Panic acts like a virus Panic acts like a virus

You took my soul from me And you tore my heart to pieces Someday I'll need to grieve But right now I need to see

All I know is I'm going home All I know is I'm going home All I know is I'm going home All I know is I'm going home

I learn that it's not too late to be here right now The resistance churning and I'm just swerving my lights around I set my boundaries around discomforts and build these walls so I don't get flustered But now I wonder if my ship was not meant to be stuck at the shores I doubt

I flail around like I'm avoiding the wasp at the table I move away but that just enables this fear to sink deeper into my ocean He winks at me with His loving devotion But I don't feel it yet I'm still soaking in Pain and fear and the separation Sameness doesn't appeal So I don't see you're seeking help

You took my soul from me And you tore my heart to pieces Someday I'll need to grieve But right now I need to see this

All I know is I'm going home All I know is I'm going home All I know is I'm going home All I know is I'm going home You took my soul from me And you tore my heart to pieces Someday I'll need to grieve But right now I need to breathe
